Macworld 2007 - Booth S1244, San Francisco - January 9, 2006 - TOLIS Group, Inc., developer of the ultra-reliable BRU™ brand of data backup and restore solutions for Mac OS X and Unix systems today announced bruCLONE™, a disk cloning tool aimed at desktop users that delivers OS X ease-of-use with 22 years of Unix reliability.

bruCLONE provides live OSX desktop system cloning without the need to take the system offline, allowing the system to be used for productive work while bruCLONE is working.

Providing comprehensive system coverage, bruCLONE copies and protects all desktop filesystem parameters including permissions and Finder™ specific attributes, and all user accounts, applications settings, and system devices and settings/ preferences. The internal, or externally connected, cloned copy will be an exact duplicate of the selected source volume.

bruCLONE supports formatting of the destination volume, performing filesystem repairs of the source volume prior to the cloning operation, and performing both full and incremental updating of the data on the volumes. CLONE Watch™ uses the status area of the menu bar and provides a visual reminder of how long it has been since the last cloning operation.

Priced at $69.95, bruCLONE also serves as an effective Disaster Recovery tool for desktop systems when used in conjunction with TOLIS Group's BRU LE standalone system backup or BRU Server network backup solutions. Volume-priced license packs are available to support Mac OS X client system Disaster Recovery services in network backup environments.
