TOKAI SOFTWARE COMPANY ENTERS JAPANESE BACKUP & RECOVERY MARKET WITH BRU™ FROM THE TOLIS GROUP

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona - October 29, 2001 - The TOLIS Group, a Talented Organization Leveraging Intelligent Solutions, today announces Tokai Software Company, Ltd (TSC) has been granted the right to distribute the full range of BRU™-based data protection products throughout Japan. First developed in 1985 to provide uncompromising data recovery reliability on Unix systems, BRU is the most frequently awarded backup and restore technology for Linux systems.

The growing acceptance of Linux in Japan is explosive. Following extensive evaluation of backup solutions, TSC chose the BRU product set because it is consistent with TSC's philosophy to provide software solutions that are reliable. Under the Agreement, TSC will participate in the localization of BRU and will produce BRU product manuals and marketing materials in Japanese to enhance product marketability and acceptance. TSC will also provide local technical product support. Remaining product materials will be localized by the TOLIS Group.
