| BRU LE 1.3.3 Released |

Download
Size: 15MB |
We are pleased to announce that BRU LE 1.3.3 is now available.
An issue has been reported with the placement of disk-based archives created using the BRU LE's
QuickBackup view. The archive file was written into the default backup path (in Preferences)
regardless of the path applied in the filename field. Normally, you can simply enter a file
name without a path and the file is written into your default path preference. However, if
you supply a fully qualified path - such as "/Volumes/Firewire 1/Backups/MySpecialBackup" - the file
would be written into the default path instead of the supplied path. This issue does not affect
your backups if you use the Advanced view or perform backups via a scheduled job.
• If you backup to disk using the QuickBackup view method, this is a mandatory update.
• If you backup to disk using the Advanced view or via scheduled operations, this update is
suggested.
• If you backup to tape, as there is no impact on tape backups, this update is optional.

We are pleased to announce that BRU LE 1.3.2 is now available. The
redesigned primary interface released in 1.3.1 delivers significantly improved workflow and a more
concise method for day-to-day backup operations is achieved through the improved QuickBackup option.
The BRU I/O engine has been updated to 17.1 variant 0.1.15 for use on Mac OS 10.4 and 10.5 systems to
enable the complete and proper processing of Access Control Lists (ACL's) and Extended Attributes (EA's).
The 17.1 engine is now used on 10.3.9 systems.
Version 1.3.2 delivers improved user interfaced display compatibility with Leopard systems, and
the load speed of the restore list on larger archives has been dramatically increased.

Update

This Apple Mac OS X update is mandatory for all users on Mac OS
X 10.4.9 and 10.4.10
It is our pleasure to inform you that Apple has released Mac OS X 10.4.11 client
and server updates. This update fixes a large number of reported tape-based I/O issues as well
as many other issues as described in the Apple release notes.
All Mac OS X 10.4.9 and 10.4.10 users should update their systems as soon as possible, as 10.4.9
and 10.4.10 are no longer supported operating systems with the BRU technology on Mac OS X.
If you have questions about BRU Server on Mac OS X concerning this update, please feel free to contact TOLIS
Group Technical Support with any questions you may have.

| BRU LE v1.3.0d Schedule
Overwrite Update |

Download
Size: 8.0KB |
If you have chosen to have BRU LE overwrite disk archives, you may have found that when
the backup job was scheduled, the disk archives were not overwritten and additional archives
are being retained with the date stamp as part of the filename. This patch corrects this
issue by retaining the original filename without the time stamp, thus overwriting the previous
disk-based archives of scheduled backup jobs if an archive of the same name already exists.
This patch can be applied using the TOLIS
Group Updater update tool.
This patch is to be installed on systems running BRU LE v1.3.0d only. Updating to BRU LE v1.3.1
or higher resolves this problem.
